Synopsis[]

Adaptation[]

Captain America faces off against Batroc the Leaper and his brigade in the streets of New York City . After Captain America defeats Batroc and his thugs, Thor enters and congratulates Steve on his victory. Captain America states he isn't used to the future, but Thor assures that he will adapt to it eventually. Immediately afterwords, Iron Man calls for the Avengers to assemble at a Stark Industries warehouse where A.I.M. is raiding his technology.

Cap and Thor make it to the scene to discover a Super Adaptoid that copies their abilities. The remaining Avengers arrive to assist the two only for the Adaptoid to replicate their abilities as well. Captain America discovers the weak point in it's chest and strikes a devastating blow to the Adaptoid, shutting it down for good.

Steve returns to his bedroom at the Avengers Mansion to find a gift (an MP3 player) given to him by Wasp. He changes the playlist on his MP3 from the 'Greatest Hits of the 1940s' to 'Modern' and listen to the music with grin on his face.

Trust[]

Hawkeye aims his bow at Whiplash, who has the Black Panther by the neck with her lashes. Hawkeye asks T'Challa if he trusts him to shoot at him, to which he agrees. Hawkeye delivers an explosive arrow to Whiplash, which manages to free Panther.

They continue to fight until Whiplash destroys all the lights in the building. Whiplash tries to hit Hawkeye from behind but the Black Panther warns him of the danger. Hawkeye turns to find Whiplash behind him and shoots a freezing arrow at Whiplash, putting her on ice. Hawkeye and Panther have an agreement over their trust, until T'Challa stated he could see in the dark. Hawkeye calls out him on this to which Panther responds, "I trusted that you knew."
