After the battle of Hulk against Thor, the Champion stood with the other Elders of the Universe. Then he told Collector that Earth would be interesting.
The Contest of the Champions[]
In some moment, The Grandmaster abducted many heroes and villains of the Earth (with physical power) and brought them to a theater on another planet, forcing them to face the Champion for their freedom. After defeating the Abomination, the Champion faced Thor, who could not beat the Elder, when Hulk was released from prison and began to fight against Thing (since he was only interested in defeating him), the Grandmaster bet his Infinity Gem, if the Champion can defeat the Hulk, but he was not interested and hit the Champion.
Then Ben took the opportunity to grab him from behind, forcing Hulk to beat him to get to the Thing, knocking him and forcing the Grandmaster to return all the champions back to Earth
