The Hulkbuster Armor is a huge suit of Iron Man Armor created by Tony Stark. It is the largest and bulkiest of all Iron Man Armors, being specifically designed to subdue the Hulk in case he ever goes on a rampage, though it was also used against supervillains who prove too strong for the regular Iron Man Armor to combat.
History[]
The Hulkbuster armor was built by Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man which serves as a countermeasure against Hulk, but was never used as Stark just simply avoided him. With that large armor, Iron Man will be able to go toe-to-toe with the Hulk for a long period of time because of its large size and superhuman strength-endurance and powerful repulsors.
Tony Stark used the Hulkbuster armor against Simon Williams a.k.a. Wonder Man, who misunderstood his actions to his company. The armor was completely destroyed in the ensuing battle, leaving shattered pieces and parts in the process.
It was later rebuilt after the battle some time later.
When Ultron took over all of Tony's armors, the Hulkbuster was among them. Then he used them to destroy the Avengers in an ensuing fight. It took on the Hulk in battle long before the green brute smashed it.
The Stealth Armor stops an arrow from hitting the Hulkbuster.
It was again later rebuilt after that.
While the Hulk is on the run, Tony used the rebuilt Hulkbuster armor, which is based from the Mark IX armor, to try stop his rampage, but despite the fact that it was specifically designed to resist him, it was unable to defeat the Hulk.
