Carol Danvers is a friend of Janet van Dyne, "The Wasp". She works with Dr. Philip Lawson, "aka" Captain Marvel. After encountering the Sentry 459, she was exposed to the cosmic energy that was flowing over Lawson, Carol was transfered to a hospital for recovery, and later she became half Kree.
She is set to return in Season 2 and join the Avengers as Ms. Marvel.
