Secret Invasion is the 12th episode of Season Two of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the 38th of the overall series.
Summary[]
The Avengers face the full might of the Skrulls as the alien invasion hits Earth! Captain America, Thor and Iron Man lead the charge against an army of Super-Skrulls and their queen Veranke.
Synopsis[]
The Skrulls are taking over as the Imposter of Lyle Getz takes out A.I.M. agents. S.H.I.E.L.D., S.W.O.R.D., and other organizations are also being taken over by the Skrulls who managed to infiltrate them. The Skrull Imposter of Henry Gyrich caused the S.W.O.R.D. ship, the Damocles, to destruct. Sydren orders all S.W.O.R.D. personnel evacuate the ship.

- The episode continues on (and concludes) with the Skrull invasion from "Infiltration".
- Neither Thor nor Iron Man were in the Avengers since "A Day Unlike Any Other" and "Who Do You Trust?", until now.
- Maria Hill found Nick Fury and Iron Man injured, from when they were ambushed by Veranke in "Infiltration".
- Hulk and Ant-Man were the only original members to not fight in the Skrull War on Earth.
- The Real Captain America has finally returned to Earth when he escaped the Skrull prison with Invisible Woman, Madame Hydra Viper, Mockingbird and others in "Prisoner of War".

- Thor returns to Earth, which means that Asgard has been rebuilt and that his father Odin has regained his strength and he gave him a new armor to become worthier than ever. And thanks to this, Odin senses that his mortal Captain America needs more assistance to save the day with their allies and villains to stop the final Skrull Threat.
- In the end of this episode, the real Captain America walks away, because he mourns and misses his favorite shield that was made of Vibranium and it was destroyed by Loki and his war since the battle of Asgard. Soon, he will go to Wakanda to let Black Panther rejoin the Avengers and repair the shield from "Behold...The Vision!".
- This episode is based on Secret Invasion Vol 1 5 to #8, and Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four #1 to #3.

- A mistake was made in the episode when Damocles was destroyed. Since the Time Drive was destroyed along with the ship, it should have jumped back into the future. However, it did not.
