The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Wiki

The X-Men are a group of superhero mutants led and founded by Professor Charles Xavier aka Professor X.

Their early history is unknown, but it was mentioned that the X-Men were formed by Charles Xavier to save the world from threats that may shatter mutant-human relations. They prevented a catastrophic war that would have led to the near-extinction of mutants and humans alike by giant robots known as Sentinels. However, despite their heroism, they are still hounded and hunted down by the M.R.D. (Mutant Response Division) an anti-mutant special US military unit.

The team was mentioned by Maria Hill on her discussion with Tony Stark about the Super-Human Registration Act on bringing superheroes into S.H.I.E.L.D. whether they liked it or not.

Known Members[]

  • Wolverine is the only X-Men seen as a member of the Howling Commandos during World War II.
  • These are the same X-Men from the TV series Wolverine and the X-Men, as they take place in the same universe of Earth-8096.
  • Concept art for a proposed third season implied that there would have been a episode where the X-Men team up with the Avengers to defeat more villains like Magneto, his brotherhood, Marauders, Silver Samurai, Omega Red and more.
  • According To Christopher Yost, if there was a third season of EMH, the second half would have introduced The X-Men. It would have focused on Avengers Vs. X-Men, where The Phoenix would have played a major role.
